The Council has received funding from the
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) via the
Department for Transport for projects it had submitted under its
Tranche 3 submission. The Council was successful in obtaining
further grant funding for two projects; Thorpe Wood cycleway and
School Streets. This grant award consists of £625k for Thorpe
Wood cycleway (detailed design and construction) and £10k for
School Streets projects. Approval is required for contract to be
awarded to Milestone to undertake delivery of Thorpe Wood cycleway
project and to expand the School Streets project to additional
schools that have shown an interest in the initiative.
