Following a public meeting held on 20 September 2021 at Ken Stimpson School, a decision needs to be taken on whether or not to proceed with plans to erect a fence to enclose part of the school's playing fields. Every top tier local authority is required to
publish a sufficiency strategy. This must set out how we seek to
avoid children coming into care through the provision of family
support services, and identify steps that we are taking to ensure
that we have sufficient placements for children in care in our
area, so that as many children and young people in care can live
locally, provided that this is in their best interests.
