21/08/2019 - The Future of the Northminster (Market) Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) - AUG19/CMDN/29 ref: 1641    Recommendations Approved

With the approval of the Chairman of Growth, Environment, and Resources Committee, the urgency procedure, special urgency procedure, and waiver of call-in procedure have been invoked to suspend the requirement to publish notice of the decision for 28 days, to suspend the requirement to publish the decision for five days, and to subject the decision to a three day call-in period. These procedures have been invoked to ensure that the council can take the immediate actions required to ensure public safety is maintained.

 

The Cabinet Member, in consultation with the Leader of this Council:

 

1.    Authorised the council to demolish the Northminster multi-storey car park at the earliest opportunity.

 

2.    Authorised the council to make the budget available to cover the anticipated costs of demolition and the costs associated with making safe and vacating of between £1m and £2.75m (capital and revenue).

 

3.    Authorised the Director for Legal and Governance, or delegated officers, to enter into any other legal documentation on behalf of the council in relation to this matter.

09/08/2019 - Extension of the current Section 75 agreements for the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) in Peterborough (Health Visiting, Family Nurse Partnership and School Nursing) AUG19/CMDN/28 ref: 1640    Recommendations Approved

The Healthy Child Programme (“HCP”) includes School Nursing, Health Visiting and Family Nurse Partnership Services. Work is underway between both Local Authorities and service Providers to develop an integrated HCP offer across the county and it shall be amongst the first child health service to be recommissioned within this strategic vision.   Due to the complexity of the work required, an extension is being sought under the current terms for a further 3 month period.

Decision:

The Cabinet Member authorised the extension of existing Section 75 agreements with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust relating to:

 

(i)             The lead provision of School Nursing Services, whereby the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Trust would exercise the health-related function to the local Council. This would be for the value of £138,666 for the duration of 2 months between 1 August 2019 and 30 September 2019; and

 

(ii)            The lead provision of Health Visiting and Family Nurse Partnership Services, whereby the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Trust exercise the health-related function to the Council. This would be for the value of £548,000 for the duration of 2 months between 1 August 2019 and 30 September 2019.
