   It is recommended that Corporate Parenting Committee:

 

      I.        Considers the 2017/2018 year in review and makes recommendations on the future monitoring of these items where necessary.

    II.        That the Committee agrees that the meeting format adopted at its informal meeting on 5 October 2016 and ratified at its formal meeting on 9 November 2016, is a true reflection of the Committee’s work commitment (Appendix 3);

   III.        Makes any recommendation it feels appropriate to amend the current Committee’s formal and informal meeting format.

  IV.        Determines its priorities, and approves the draft work programme for formal and informal meetings for 2018/19 attached at Appendix 1.

                   V.        Notes the Terms of Reference for this Committee as set out in Part 3, Delegations Section 2 – Regulatory Committee Functions, 2.4.

 

 

To enable the Committee to discuss its objectives and priorities for 2017/18 and to approve the draft work programme for 2018/19 (Appendix 1).

 

The report also provides the Committee with the opportunity to review its work conducted throughout the municipal year 2017/18. A copy of the actions and recommendation made are attached at Appendix 5.

Committee to receive a report on the current Champion Member position and to appoint Members to the vacant positions

     It is recommended that the Corporate Parenting Committee

?      Confirm the appointment of Corporate Parenting Champions

 

 

This report will allow the Committee to review the current Corporate Parenting Champions allocations, which is in line with the recent Cabinet and Committee changes made.

1.    Note and consider the report and update provided by the Foster Carer Forum representatives.

 

Corporate Parenting Committee wish to receive an update at formal committee meetings of discussions and actions from the Foster Carers forum.

The purpose of the report is to provide an overview of the CCGs activities to ensure robust

monitoring and quality assurance systems are in place to meet the health needs of the Looked After Children population in Peterborough.

To update the Corporate Parenting Committee in respect of the numbers of children and young

people currently being looked after by the Council and to provide a breakdown of the types of

placements in which they are living.  The report also provides information about the age, gender and ethnicity of those children and young people.

Members Issues

Members that are not part of the core CPC membership, but hold Corporate Parenting responsibilities, are invited to raise any issues they have with regard to the services provided to Children in Care.
