To approve a section 76 for the allocation of
funding to the integrated care board to enable it to establish
obesity and cardiovascular disease prevention interventions in GP
practices and the delegation of authority to cambridgeshire county
council for it to establish a joint agreement for the two local
authorities with the integrated care board.
The Cabinet Member approved:
1. The Primary Care Prevention interventions described in this paper.
2. The delegation of authority to Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) to act as the lead authority for commissioning the proposed prevention interventions across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. Peterborough City Council (PCC) shall enter into a delegation and partnering agreement with CCC for the duration of the delegated function between 1 January 2024 and 31 March 2026 and a total value of £200,000.00.
3. The establishment of a Section 76 between CCC and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board (ICB) throughout the period of the delegated function, with a value of £1,000,000.00, consisting of £200,000.00 contribution from PCC, and £800,000.00 contribution from CCC.
With approval from the Monitoring Officer and Chair of the Adults and Health Scrutiny Committee, the urgency procedures to waive the 5-day consideration and 3-day call-in periods have been envoked.
