Decision details

With the approval of the Mayor (in the absence of the Chairman of the Children and Education Scrutiny Committee) and the Monitoring Officer, the waiver of call-in procedure have been invoked to suspend the decision being subject to a three day call-in period. These procedures have been invoked because of the requirement to publish the Policy Statement on the Council’s website by the 31^st May 2022, completion of the Policy and Statement was delayed due to the decision to align the process with Cambridgeshire County Council and have a separate Policy Statement reflecting information for the academic year and a Policy effective from September 2022 that will not require updating annually unless changes to the Policy are required.

The Cabinet Member approved the Council’s ‘Post -16 Transport Policy’ and Policy Statement for Academic Year 22/23. 

It is a requirement under the Department for Education’s Post 16 Transport to Education and Training Guidance 2019 for the Council to publish its Policy statement each year.
