Cabinet considered the report and RESOLVED to:
1. Agree the recommendations set out in the interim report of the Task and Finish Group and note that further recommendations are expected following continued work by the Group.
2. Approve the financial and resource commitment required to deliver the short term enforcement and communication elements specified in 7.2 and 7.3 of the Task and Finish Group’s interim report.
3. Support the Task and Finish Group in their further work on the specified additional work as requested by Scrutiny Committee at their meeting 9 January 2019. (Section 2.1(b) of the report).
The Leader has requested that the Scrutiny Committee consider his request to set up a cross party Task and Finish group to examine the issue of Fly Tipping and how alterations to the relevant policies and the current operating regime might be altered to help to reduce Fly Tipping. This is the interim report from that Task and Finish Group.
|
Based on the considerable evidence gathered during the work of the Task and Finish Group a sound understanding and basis in evidence has been generated to support the specific recommendations.
|
To do nothing with the recommendations made by the group would render the group and its work somewhat pointless and fails to act on the issues.
None.
