Purpose:

The Cabinet Member Authorised the Council to enter into a Section 76 Agreement under the National Health Service Act 2006 with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group for the payment of £750,000 for the period 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2026 relating to the Children and Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Services across Peterborough.

 

Reasons for the decision:

The Section 76 agreement will enable the delivery of an integrated and consistent Children and Young people’s Emotional Well Being and Mental Health Services across Peterborough thereby improving outcomes for children and young people.

Alternative options considered:

To do nothing – this has been rejected as the joint agreement between Peterborough City Council, Cambridgeshire County Council and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG has led to improved outcomes as detailed in section 3.4 of the report.
