The Cabinet Member Authorise the Council to enter into a Section 76 Agreement under the National Health Service Act 2006 with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group relating to the Speech and Language Therapy Services (SALT) across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The Council shall make an annual payment of £250,000 for the period 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022, and thereafter annually until 31 March 2024.
The Section 76 agreement will enable the delivery of an integrated and consistent Speech and Language Therapy for children, thereby improving outcomes for children and young people.
To do nothing – this has been rejected as the joint agreement between Peterborough City Council, Cambridgeshire County Council and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG has led to improved outcomes as detailed in section 3.4.
