Purpose:
The Cabinet Member:
1. Approved the amendment to appointments and nominations to outside bodies as set out in Appendix A and B.
2. Authorised the Monitoring Officer as Proper Officer to carry out the wishes of the Leaders of Political Groups in allocating Members to outside bodies, and to appoint or nominate those Members with effect from the date at which the Proper Officer is advised of the names of such Members.
Reasons for the decision:
The list of appointments to outside organisation and the list of nominations to outside organisations for 2019/2020 are out of date. Approval of changes to this list will ensure that the organisations contained on them are still relevant.
Alternative options considered:
Leave the lists as they are – This option was rejected as there is a need to review the lists to ensure they are up to date and relevant.
