Decision:

The Cabinet Member, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Resources is requested to:

 

Authorise the construction of new school buildings to accommodate the expansion of Lime Trust Academy Parnwell up to the value of the budget sum of £3m, subject to the Council obtaining consent pursuant to section 77 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1988. This sum shall include the anticipated design and build contract costs of and funding for Information and Communications Technology (ICT), all site surveys and project management and technical advisers fees.

 

Authorise the Corporate Director, People and Communities in consultation with the Interim Corporate Director: Resources and legal services to award the contract for the construction works to the successful contractor from Lot 3 of the Peterborough City Council Construction Framework following the mini-competition process.

 

Authorise the Director of Governance or delegated officers to enter into any other legal documentation on behalf of the Council in relation to this matter

18/12/2017 - Proposal for the Termination of the Contract with Enterprise Managed Services Limited and the Future Provision of Services - DEC17/CAB/76 ref: 1415    Recommendations Approved

Cabinet considered the report and RESOLVED to:

 

1.    Authorise the entering into a Deed of Termination relating to the Council’s contract for services with Enterprise Managed Services Limited;

 

2.    Agree for the Cabinet Member for Waste and Street Scene to approve the award of replacement contracts or arrangement of alternative provisions for all services currently provided under the Enterprise Managed Services contract (such steps to include matters relating to contracts, leases and other relevant legal documentation and pensions arrangements) including:

 

·         Refuse, street cleansing vehicle workshop

·         Parks and open spaces

·         Property maintenance and property cleaning

·         Community link and home to school transport

·         Grounds and trees maintenance

·         Catering

13/12/2017 - Purchase of the freehold interest in Peterborough Registry Office - DEC17/CMDN/75 ref: 1413    Recommendations Approved

To delegate authority to the Corporate Director of Growth and Regeneration to purchase the freehold interest in Peterborough Registry Office.

 

With the approval of the Chairman of the Growth, Environment and Resources Scrutiny Committee Urgency, Special Urgency and waiver of call-in procedures have been invoked to suspend the requirement to advertise the decision for 28 days, publish the decision for 5 days prior to publication, and to suspend the 3 day call-in period.

 

This is because the Council has entered into an agreement with the vendor to complete the transaction within a strict timetable giving its exclusivity to acquire the property ‘’off market’’ with completion being on or before the date rent next becomes due which is 25 December 2017

11/12/2017 - Continuation Of The 'Peterborough DNA' Programme Up To March 2019 - DEC17/CMDN/72 ref: 1410    Recommendations Approved

The report seeks approval for continued delivery of the Peterborough DNA programme, now known as the ‘Future Peterborough Framework’ through Opportunity Peterborough as outlined in the report following receipt of a grant from Innovate UK (formally the Technology Strategy Board) in March 2013. The report follows three previous key decisions to approve the delivery of the Peterborough DNA programme and will be the final tranche of funding.
